Australia-US International Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative (AUSMURI)
Overview
AUSMURI supports Australian universities participating in approved US MURI submissions on designated defence research topics. The grant funds fundamental and basic research to strengthen Australian university research capacity, skills, and global networks in fields of priority for future Defence capabilities. It encourages partnerships between Australian and US-based universities on collaborative research projects.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be a higher education provider listed in Table A or Table B of the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (Cth), have an ABN, be the lead Australian university in an approved MURI submission on a designated topic, and undertake the project in Australia.
