Overview

Funding for event organisers to conduct competitive sporting or gaming events that attract competitors and supporters to Tasmania. Events should encourage visitors to undertake further travel around the state during their stay and promote pre- and post-championship holidays and regional touring.

Eligibility Requirements

Event organisers must be organising a championship or competitive event that attracts more than 100 people from outside Tasmania who are likely to stay 3 nights or more in paid commercial accommodation. Applicants can be based anywhere in Australia and must be able to enter into a funding agreement with the Tasmanian government. Applications must be lodged at least 3 months prior to event commencement.
