Overview

This grant provides support to ECEC educators, early childhood teachers and directors with five hours of time to complete national child safety training. It is available to approved ECEC services receiving the Childcare Subsidy (CCS) for their eligible employees.

Eligibility Requirements

Only ECEC services currently approved for and receiving the Childcare Subsidy (CCS) under Family Assistance Law are eligible. Employees must be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or hold valid work visas; be contact or non-contact workers; and have worked more than 40 hours in the preceding three months. Providers cannot be stand-alone kindergartens/pre-schools without CCS approval, individuals, RTOs, or entities on the National Redress Scheme's website.
