Overview

NHMRC is providing up to $4 million to support Australia-based researchers participating as partners in transnational consortia through the European Partnership for Brain Health. The funding supports research projects on biological, social and environmental factors that impact the trajectory of brain health across the lifespan, with two calls covering neurological/mental/sensory disorders and neurodegenerative disorders.

Australia-based researchers participating as partners in transnational consortia that have been recommended for funding by EP BrainHealth. Applicants must submit applications through Sapphire after their transnational consortium receives a successful pre-proposal assessment and full proposal invitation from EP BrainHealth.

The 2026 NHMRC-European Partnership for Brain Health (EP BrainHealth) Grant Opportunity supports Australian participation and collaboration in transnational research projects through European Partnership for Brain Health (EP BrainHealth) Call for Proposals.
