Overview

The program supports remote, rural and regional communities through five elements including community impact grants, regional drought resilience plan grants, small network grants, mentoring initiatives, and capacity building for not-for-profit organisations.

Eligibility Requirements

Grants are available to remote, rural and regional agriculture-dependent communities. Specific eligibility varies by program element: Community Impact Program regions, regions with Regional Drought Resilience Plans (up to 50 regions for RDRP Social Outcome Grants), areas without RDRPs (Small Network Grants), and community not-for-profit organisations in agriculture-dependent communities (Capacity Building Initiative).

Disaster Assistance Loans – Western QLD Surface Trough, Rainfall and Flooding (Primary Producers)

This program provides low-interest loans to Queensland primary producers whose assets have been significantly damaged by the Western Queensland Surface Trough and Associated Rainfall and Flooding between 21 March – 19 May 2025. Loans can be used to repair or replace damaged plant, equipment, farm buildings, livestock, and meet carry-on requirements to re-establish normal operations.
