Overview
The Major Event Fund is an ACT Government funding program that supports major events in Canberra by investing in and leveraging event opportunities that drive economic impact through tourist visitation and visitor spend. The fund supports events that provide marketing opportunities for the Canberra region, create high-quality experiences that enhance the Canberra brand, and reflect and engage diverse communities.
Eligibility Requirements
Events must be major events that drive substantial economic impact and fill gaps in Canberra's events calendar. Funding requires supplementary financial investment from event partners. Business events such as conferences, conventions, trade shows and expos are not eligible. Applications should ideally be submitted 6 months prior to event commencement.
