Overview

Supports small-scale, time-sensitive community-led projects that address urgent needs in priority communities within the City of Sydney local government area. Funding priorities include emergency support for community, cultural and sustainability projects; resilience and readiness for communities to respond to shocks; residents and teams representing the local area in sporting, academic or environmental fields; and minor capital works and equipment upgrades for cultural venues. Open to for-profit entities.

Eligibility Requirements

Must operate within the City of Sydney LGA or demonstrate significant benefit for the area's residents, workers and/or visitors. Open to not-for-profit organisations, incorporated associations, partnerships, sole traders, individuals and community groups. Also open to for-profit entities. Projects must start at least 4 weeks after submitting, and be completed within 4 months. Open all year until budget is exhausted.

Not-for-profit organisations are also eligible for a 25% reduction on equipment hire fees at landmark venues.

Community Events Quick Response Grants — City of Greater Geelong

Supports moderately sized public events in the City of Greater Geelong that have an immediate need preventing organisers from applying to the main Community Events Grants funding round. Eligible events include state or national sporting events, state or national festivals, and events of regional significance that are advertised to the public and expected to attract 300 or more attendees. Covers operating expenses including venue hire, contractors, security, equipment hire, staging and toilet hire. Total grant pool of $80,000 allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
