Sheep and goat eID essential equipment rebate (AgShows and events)
Overview
A rebate program for South Australian agricultural show and event organisers to assist with implementing electronic identification (eID) for sheep and goats. Applicants can receive 75% rebate on the cost of eligible scanning equipment (stick or wand readers) to record individual movements of electronically identified sheep and goats on the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) database.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be based in South Australia, have an active sporting event NLIS database user account, hold an ABN, be involved with movement of sheep or goats onto site for an AgShow or event, and not have received funding from another government program for the same activities. Livestock agents, producers, saleyards, feedlots, exporters, and government agencies are ineligible.
