Overview

This program provides wage subsidies for small and family construction businesses in Queensland to support first and second year apprentices during training periods. Eligible businesses receive reimbursement equivalent to 50% of typical wages for first and second year apprentices and 25% for third and fourth year apprentices, based on an average training period of 8 weeks each year up to 32 weeks total.

Eligibility Requirements

Businesses must have 19 or fewer employees, maximum annual turnover not exceeding $10 million, and employ a full-time, part-time, or school-based apprentice registered in Queensland. Apprentices must be in eligible construction, plumbing, engineering or electrical apprenticeships, have commenced from 1 July 2025, completed probation, and be among the first 2,000 registered apprentices.
