WA Food Industry Education Collaboration Program
Overview
This program provides WA food and beverage businesses with access to STEM expertise through short-term student internships. Businesses receive facilitated project scoping, student matching, and a $2,500 payment upon completion of placement, with additional travel funding available for regional businesses. The program helps businesses tackle STEM challenges, grow their talent pipeline, and strengthen innovation capability.
Eligibility Requirements
Businesses must be registered and operating for more than one year in WA, operating in the food and/or beverage sector as a producer, manufacturer or technology provider, have a minimum of 3 employees with at least one able to mentor the intern, and hold relevant insurances including workers compensation and public liability.
