Overview

Assists the Hobart community by waiving fees and charges for City of Hobart-owned event equipment, venues, banners, signage or lighting. Provides in-kind support of up to $1,000 value for events and activities that benefit the community. Applications processed on a rolling basis until the funding pool is exhausted.

Eligibility Requirements

Open to community organisations and groups in the City of Hobart LGA. In-kind support (fee waivers), not cash. Applications close 3 pm Friday 29 May 2026 or when funding pool is exhausted. Activity must start 1–6 months after submission date. Apply via SmartyGrants.

Venue Hire Support Grant — City of Sydney

Assists community, cultural and environmental groups and organisations to access City of Sydney venues at reduced rates or at no charge. Support is available for both community venues and landmark venues (including Sydney Town Hall, Paddington Town Hall and Customs House). Available as one-off or multi-year (up to 3 years) reduced venue hire rates. Supports events, concerts, fundraisers, conferences, meetings and community gatherings. Not-for-profit organisations are also eligible for a 25% reduction on equipment hire fees at landmark venues.
