Overview

The Commonwealth government is providing a one-off $150 GST-free direct payment to eligible small businesses and charities that operate in embedded networks in Western Australia. This program aims to provide electricity bill relief to businesses receiving power through embedded network supply arrangements such as shopping centres, airports, ports, and industrial parks.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be a small business or charity with a valid ABN since 1 July 2025, consuming less than 50 MWh of electricity per year (or less than $15,000 per annum in costs), receiving electricity through an embedded network or submetering arrangement, and occupying a commercial premise in Western Australia. Ineligible applicants include government entities, telecommunications providers, authorised deposit taking institutions, major mining/resources operators, and direct customers of Synergy or Horizon Power.
